+Levi donated land for the Hamilton Christian Church.  This church was established c.1821 by a Rev. Summerbell.  It is not known whether Rev. Summerbell and early church members considered themselves part of a larger religious denomination or organization.  The church met initially in homes and school houses, then erected a church building in 1871 -- perhaps on the land donated by Levi.
